Council changes meeting schedule through April 2025; Public Works to assist UCVFD with shed demo

Council agreed to change its meeting schedule beginning in September through April 2025 to the first and third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m.; the next meeting was set for Aug. 27, 2024 and, because of Labor Day, the subsequent meeting will be Sept. 16, 2024. The schedule change was discussed and accepted by the council during the manager's updates.
Separately, the Union City Volunteer Fire Department requested a backhoe to demolish a shed at 10 Market Street. Public Works Supervisor Bob Phillips said he would assist with the demolition but would not provide the backhoe; council agreed that Public Works will help without the backhoe.
