Selectmen reviewed a draft request for proposals July 13 that will aggregate propane purchasing for town-owned tanks.
Vale VanDoorne-Freeman explained the RFP breaks usage down by tank and excludes the Colby Memorial Library because it uses oil and solar. She said she had visited town properties with Road Agent Jimmy Seaver to confirm tank locations and checked usage figures on the current vendor’s website. Vale told the Board she will post the RFP on the New Hampshire Municipal Association website and begin soliciting phone quotes.
Vice Chair Shawn O'Neil asked that quotes reflect the town-wide aggregate quantity so the town receives a single price structure for its combined needs. The Board did not take a formal vote on award language at the meeting but directed the administrator to proceed with posting and outreach.
