The Claymont City Board of Education approved a block of organizational items (Items C–O) authorizing routine administrative powers and policy settings. The board authorized the Treasurer to pay bills within Permanent Appropriations and to be signatory for payroll and warrant checks; the Treasurer may request advances from the County Auditor and invest interim funds; interest among funds will be distributed in accordance with R.C. 42.22. The minutes record these delegations under Item C–G.
The board also designated the Superintendent as Purchasing Agent, authorized the Superintendent to employ teaching and non-teaching personnel as needed (with names presented for ratification at the next meeting), established a Records Commission (President, Treasurer, Superintendent), employed the legal firm Pepple & Waggoner as legal counsel, and authorized the Treasurer to sign telecommunications agreements as needed to comply with E-Rate rules. The board set mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate of $0.725 and set the minimum wage at the Federal rate of $11.00 per hour. These decisions were approved by roll-call vote as part of Item 25-007.
