Community Development Director Brad Johnson presented introductory materials for updates to the Natural Resources and Climate Element of the Comprehensive Plan, citing greenhouse gas inventories, climate vulnerability assessments and energy efficiency evaluations. He said these updates are intended to meet new state planning requirements and that draft policy changes will be provided for future Council review.
No formal decisions were made at the May 28 meeting; the presentation was framed as an initial staff briefing ahead of Planning Commission and later Council consideration of specific policy language and implementation actions.
