Tammy Hixon, middle school and high school principal, told the board that Indian Electric Cooperative donated technology and supplies to the school in celebration of reaching 1,000 miles of fiber and 1,000 customers. "They gifted our students two Chromebooks, two iPads, a STEM robot dog, and a Walmart gift card," Hixon said.
Hixon also highlighted spring athletics—Lady Bears golf finishes (third at Stroud, second at Frontier) and the Black Bear team win at Frontier with Aceyn Jestes placing third individually—and listed testing windows (middle school ELA and math dates, semester tests on May 11 and 13) and upcoming events including the Annual Art Show (April 14) and Graduation (May 15).
