A committee member praised outgoing administrator Tony Mercantante at the meeting, saying, "after 40 plus years in municipal life, Tony Mercantante, our longtime township administrator, is gonna be retiring, a well deserved retirement," and called Mercantante an "incredible individual" as Cunningham was introduced. Officials said Cunningham is an attorney and former director of local government services with long experience at county and municipal levels.
The committee did not discuss substantive changes to administrative policy at the meeting; members said they will continue to provide transition support.
