Council accepts Legion Hall donation, authorizes mayor to sign deed

City Attorney Ruben Cleaveland told the council the previously discussed Legion Hall property donation agreement and deed were ready for approval and that the Community Center had been invited to propose any changes but submitted no revisions. He clarified that packet materials included two documents both labeled "Exhibit A" and that the recorder had the correct copies available for signature.
Sara Morelli, identified as president of the Community Center, told the council the organization is registered with the Secretary of State and is completing steps to secure its 501(c)(3) status. Mayor Carol Beatty moved to accept the Legion Hall Donation Agreement and Deed and to authorize the mayor to sign both documents; the motion passed unanimously, 6-0.
