The Village of Edmore received $3,311 under the state FY26 Public Safety Revenue Sharing Program and the council approved allocating the funds between township services. President Chet Guild said he believed that 75% should go to the Home Township Police Department and 25% to the Home Township Fire Department to support local law enforcement and foster township relations. "He feels the Home Township Police Department should get 75% and the Home Township Fire Department should get 25%," the minutes report.
Trustee Colburn moved to split the $3,311 accordingly; Trustee Kanine supported the motion and the roll-call vote was unanimous (6-0). The council recorded the distribution percentages and authorized staff to process the payments to the township departments.
