Edmore council approves $15,000 total to replace tennis courts with pickleball courts

The Village of Edmore moved forward on a small parks capital project after Manager Cory Hamlin reported a $10,000 contribution from the Glenn Curtis Trust for a new pickleball court. "Hamlin reported that we received $10,000.00 toward our new pickleball court," the minutes state. Council members discussed doing the entire projected scope at once.
Trustee McParland moved to approve an additional $5,000 from Village funds to remove the existing surface, replace aging fencing, and address dilapidated lighting; the motion passed on a 6-0 roll-call vote. The approved funding plus the trust contribution brings initial project funding to $15,000; the council requested a full project plan before contracting work.
