The coalition agreed to focus its next meeting on updating the statewide prevention and resource guide for commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC). Chair (S1) said the guide “looked a bit outdated” and noted that “2016, 2022 was the last time it was updated,” proposing that pages 60–66 be attached to the August agenda for detailed review.
Members directed staff to circulate pages 60–66 in advance so participants can identify what to keep, change or remove. The group emphasized prioritizing practical, shareable materials rather than expecting end users to read an entire long guide. Staff also committed to inviting the Division of Public and Behavioral Health to the next meeting to describe how they currently disseminate resources and where coalition support could help.
The motion to consider the objectives and revisit the guide at the next meeting passed after a member moved to place the objectives on the agenda and others seconded the motion. The coalition will use the next meeting to agree on specific edits and dissemination responsibilities.
