Transit staff preview Better Bus Athens concepts and summer rider survey

"We're also hoping to meet with the commission in September, October so we can introduce a choice report and the concepts with them," Tina (transit staff) said while summarizing outreach timing. Tina noted the survey provides another source of data to compare against a spring survey and is accessible online or as a printed form at the front desk.
Transit and commission members discussed potential outreach ideas — handing out bike lights at the multimodal center, mobile mechanic stations, and integrating distribution of safety items with bus transfers or bike racks. Staff said they'd explore logistics with operations and suggested adding the item to a future agenda for more detailed planning.
