Transit-related accessible sidewalk improvements are planned at new bus stops tied to transit improvements.
On traffic calming, staff said options include speed tables and alternative designs like chicanes depending on available right-of-way; commissioners asked for clarification about where bulb-outs or other measures would fit in smaller neighborhood streets. Staff also described pavement rehabilitation criteria — repaving streets under 55 (mph) within plan boundaries and filling gaps beyond existing paving plans."We basically said pave all roads and streets less than 55 within the boundaries," a staff presenter said when summarizing the pavement rehabilitation approach.
Staff noted project phasing is staged across planning, procurement and construction; many neighborhood improvements are still in planning or right-of-way phases and will be brought forward for procurement as funding and design are finalized.
