"We need roughly a $152,000 in match," staff told the council while explaining the project would likely use donated plantings and in‑kind contributions to supplement the match. The application deadline is June 5; awards are expected in November and the project would proceed in the next dry season if awarded.
Councilor Webb moved to adopt Resolution 2026-4 authorizing the city to apply for the OPRD grant and delegating authority to the city administrator to sign; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. Staff said they will refine cost estimates for piping, grading and equipment rental and return with implementation details as needed.
Council members noted the project was partially positioned by an earlier design funded through OPRD and said the phased approach allows flexibility (yurts, shower/restroom options, or full RV build-out depending on score and funding).
