Staff (S4) told the council that the Community Construction/Municipal Grant (CCMG) has funded a paving project covering a portion of East Andrews Street and all of Keller Street; work may include widening, new drainage and sidewalks. S4 reported the low bid from Brooks Construction Company at $354,009.00, with Burcott Incorporated and DC Construction Services among other bidders. "The low bid was Brooks Construction Company, with a bid of $354,009.00," S4 stated.
A council member moved to accept the bid and the motion passed on a voice vote. Staff said work will be scheduled to minimize conflicts with ball season and local traffic; the project will include resurfacing portions between Van Buren and Studebaker and widening and sidewalk work leading to the highway.
