Board approves superintendent’s personnel recommendations after executive sessions

The board convened two personnel executive sessions under West Virginia Code 6‑9A‑4 to consider personnel matters and a property discussion. When the board returned to open session it accepted the superintendent’s recommendations on resignations, retirements and transfers and approved employment recommendations for professional/service personnel and volunteer extracurricular positions. The motions were recorded as approved by voice votes (5-0).
Chair confirmed that personnel matters were handled in executive session per state code and that the board accepted the superintendent’s recommendations on each class of personnel items. Staff will proceed with processing the personnel actions and update the district’s public minutes to reflect the approved items.
