On Jan. 12 the Jenkinsburg City Council approved two community events proposed by Full Steam Ahead Events. The council approved a ribbon-cutting scheduled for Feb. 20, 2026, on a motion by Jason Watts with a condition requiring Full Steam Ahead Events to obtain council approval before planning future events. The motion passed with unanimous aye votes.
Council also approved an Easter egg hunt on March 29, 2026. The motion to approve the Easter event was made by Jason Watts and seconded by Brent Eberspacher and passed unanimously. The minutes record the approvals and the conditional requirement for future event planning; no permits or additional conditions beyond the approval were recorded in the minutes.
