Three newly elected council members sworn in at Jenkinsburg meeting

With a quorum present, Mayor Eddie Ford called the City of Jenkinsburg Council to order at 7:00 p.m. on Jan. 12, 2026. City Clerk Debi Smith administered the oath of office to Joye England, Jason Watts and Gary Brown, whose terms are recorded as beginning Jan. 1, 2026.
After the swearing-in, the council moved through routine business including approval of the agenda, approval of the Dec. 8, 2025 minutes, and a slate of appointments for 2026. The meeting concluded with several motions passed unanimously and an adjournment at 8:25 p.m.
