Board adopts LCAP, highlights increased spending for unduplicated students

The board approved Healdsburg Unified’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), which district staff presented as focused on rigor, multilingualism, interventions and relationship-building. The HES principal explained the LCAP’s emphasis on PLCS, MTSS, early literacy, differentiated assistance for students with disabilities and the inclusion cohort partnership with SELPA.
On funding, the presenter summarized LCAP expenditures and the district’s approach to unduplicated students: “One thing that you may or may not know is that we're required to have a certain percentage of that 17,600,000 spent on students who are considered unduplicated... we're spending, like, 31% on those particular students,” she said, noting this exceeds the required percentage. Trustees then moved to approve the plan and adopted it by voice vote.
Staff described specific implementation elements tied to the LCAP, including Panorama dashboards for early‑warning attendance tracking and plans to use ELOP funds for elementary enrichment. The board directed staff to continue periodic reporting on metrics and site scorecards.
