Selectboard approves $85,300 contract to restore Town Hall windows

The Londonderry Selectboard unanimously approved a contract March 2 to restore windows at Town Hall. Martha Dale moved to accept a Valley Restoration LLC proposal estimated at $85,300 and to authorize the Town Administrator to execute necessary hiring documents; the motion passed unanimously.
Meeting materials and the Town Hall Renovation Committee indicated work will involve removing existing windows to restore sills and surrounds and that additional work could be revealed once sills are exposed. The committee said the project cost will be covered by MERP funding. The board also appointed Cynthia Gubb to the Town Hall Renovation Committee to fill one available seat for a one-year term.
The Selectboard did not amend the contract amount during the vote and delegated execution to the Town Administrator; the board noted that restoration may uncover further repairs that would be reported back to the committee and Selectboard.
