Planning staff reported that the Eaton County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution last month authorizing the department to pursue an intergovernmental agreement with 11 townships the department serves for planning and zoning work, not to exceed $15,000; the exact amount will be determined in consultation with the townships. Staff noted the zoning ordinance committee will meet the third Tuesday of the month and that the zoning board of appeals recently approved a variance for a storage pole barn at a former motel site in Sunfield Township.
No new PA‑116 applications were listed for the agenda and staff indicated three CUP applications are expected in July, including one new surface mine in Brookfield Township. Commissioners accepted the reports with no further action.
