Council appoints Frank Dungan to Kechi planning commission

Mayor Joni Harris presented Frank Dungan for appointment to the Kechi planning commission; Dungan spoke briefly about his engineering background and building experience. "I do have an engineering background," Dungan said, describing his familiarity with construction and utilities. Council members asked about his vision for the city and his prior service on the planning commission.
Council Member Moreland moved to appoint Dungan, seconded by Council Member Merritt; the motion passed unanimously. Staff said they would contact Dungan to arrange his swearing-in at the next meeting. The council noted the planning commission is now fully staffed following the appointment.
