Board adopts I‑Ready elementary adoption with MyPath pilot; junior‑high teachers recommend Carnegie Clear Math

District staff recommended adopting Curriculum Associates’ classroom mathematics for grades K–2 and implementing the I‑Ready diagnostic with the MyPath personalized-learning component for K–5 on a one‑year pilot basis. The staff presentation acknowledged recent media coverage and litigation regarding iReady’s data practices and said the district worked with legal counsel to strengthen contract protections. "The MyPath personalized learning component is only going to be implemented for a 1 year pilot so that teachers can evaluate student growth, engagement and instructional value before we make a long term commitment," a staff presenter told the board.
After legal review and discussion, trustees voted unanimously to approve the elementary curriculum and the one‑year diagnostic/personalized-learning pilot. Separately, junior-high math teachers presented results of a comprehensive pilot and recommended adopting Carnegie Learning Clear Math for grades 6–8, citing inquiry-based lessons, alignment to state frameworks and strong assessment and print resources; that recommendation was presented as information and will be brought back on the June consent agenda.
