Board approves LCAP documents; staff to submit to SCOE for review

The board approved the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), the federal addendum and the associated local-indicator narratives. The presenter summarized priorities and supports targeted to English learners, foster youth, homeless students and socioeconomically disadvantaged students and noted the district’s plans for uploading local indicators to the state dashboard after approval.
"The increased and improved services are to make sure that we are best supporting our English language learners, our foster youth, our homeless, and our students who are socioeconomically disadvantaged," the presenter said. Staff said the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) typically offers minor editorial feedback, and they expect to meet with SCOE staff on July 28 for review. Trustees moved and approved the draft final LCAP in open session.
