Chair Greg Persinger presented a certified resolution from Seminole Community Schools asking that a public-question referendum be placed on the November ballot. "A motion and a 2nd has been made to approve the Mississauga Community School Corporation's request that the proposed public question be placed on the November ballot," Persinger said as the board voted.
Pam Harris moved to approve the proposed language and Tom Root seconded. Persinger said, as with the earlier item, copies of the language will be available for public review prior to the election and the board will forward the certified resolution and supporting documents to the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance and the state election division for processing.
The board’s action completes local certification; the deputy will oversee the state submission and confirm the question’s entry in the state ballot system.
