The Guadalupe City Council approved its consent calendar without discussion on July 28, which bundled multiple routine items for a single vote.
Items included ratification of warrants covering periods ending July 3 and July 10, 2026; approval of minutes for the July 14 meeting; and a second-reading adoption of zoning ordinance amendments affecting several Title 18 chapters addressing high-density residential, design and development standards, off-street parking and landscape standards. The council also authorized filing a notice of completion for the Guadalupe Junior High School sidewalk project and release of the 5% contract retention to ADA General Engineering at the conclusion of the statutory 35-day lien period, provided no liens are filed. Staff noted clerical corrections to an ordinance establishing a cannabis business tax would also be accepted.
Councilmember [motion-maker] moved to approve the consent calendar and it passed on a voice vote with all ayes.
