The Kennebunk Economic Development Committee voted to approve a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) funding request for façade and landscaping improvements at the New School, not to exceed $23,935.60 from the FY25–26 Economic Development implementation line item. The motion to fund the project was made by Maureen Harris and seconded by Tricia Reslewic; the committee voted unanimously in favor.
Ben Meggs, identified in the minutes as a parent of one of the school’s students, described the school and the scope of the requested improvements. Committee members discussed the merits of the request after Mr. Meggs left the meeting and concluded the project fit within the EDC’s TIF priorities for supporting local facilities. The action was recorded as an approved expenditure from the 2025–2026 TIF program.
