Board hears maintenance concerns after unexplained water outage and repeated bathroom clogs

The district has been forced to pay for professional clearing or has purchased equipment to handle clog removal. Board members and staff discussed options including retrofitting a sink (which has substantial cost and wall work), installing a commercially available portable handwashing station with a built-in trap, or moving some enrichment tasks to spaces with appropriate plumbing.
Staff committed to investigating the well, float and pump connections and to gather cost estimates for sink retrofit or portable solutions. The maintenance report noted these issues have a direct effect on operations and student learning when water is unavailable or restrooms are out of service.
