Board chairs and trustees agreed the village needs clearer, repeatable communications to new residents and applicants about permitting, the Architectural Historic Review Board and other review steps. Larry Fromos and planning chairs proposed packets, infographics and short videos; a clerk or staff member will help circulate materials and monthly grant opportunities.
Trustees requested regular liaisons and targeted recaps rather than full minutes for every board; several chairs agreed to circulate brief summaries to improve awareness and reduce surprises when projects reach the village board. The group set a near-term schedule for circulating draft code changes in September, an attorney-client review in October and public hearings in November.
