Areas flagged for improvement included a districtwide suspension increase from 2.6% to 3.3%, elevated suspension rates for students with disabilities, inconsistent math achievement (especially for students with disabilities), and chronic absenteeism (district 16%; Hispanic students 14%; White students 20%). Tiffany said staff will pursue differentiated assistance, restorative options in lieu of suspensions for some nonviolent offenses (e.g., vaping), and additional attendance education for families. Trustees asked for subgroup breakdowns and for state‑defined triggers to be made clear; staff said more detailed metrics are in the packet and will be shared.
