The budget as presented shows a deficit that Belozer said would be covered by reserves carried over from previous years; she highlighted lodging tax revenue, membership dues and event fees as primary revenue sources and noted increased expenses such as higher event coordinator costs and purchases of new trikes for trike-race events.
Belozer also said the Chamber plans to submit its budget each November going forward and will formally request placement on the council agenda for review. Councilors discussed possible support and administrative coordination but made no formal funding commitment at the April 22 meeting.
