Residents press city on burning, unauthorized dumping and road damage during public comment

Paula Latasa said work on 2nd Street and Elrod Avenue compromised her driveway and knocked out rocks on a retaining wall; Manager Smith agreed to meet with her to review the site. Jon Helquist said Public Works told him crews are waiting for weather to dry and gravel to settle, noting "little waves" across the driveway on 2nd Street.
The council did not take formal action on these matters at the meeting, but staff committed to follow up with affected residents.
