Jordan summarized remaining wastewater plant purchases and said the city previously replaced two blowers after a prior emergency where a blower caught fire; one older blower remains and is near the end of its expected life. Donahue & Associates solicited quotes and recommended APG Neuros based on lowest 20-year present value, short lead time and positive prior experience with the vendor.
Jordan said the blower purchase is in the current capital plan and that procuring now (rather than later) will allow manufacturing and design schedules to align so the blower can be available when installation is ready. The committee approved procurement by motion and unanimous voice vote.
