County staff recommends Blunt Construction for Mount Tabor Park parking and connectivity; lowest bid below estimate

Staff recommended awarding the contract to Blunt Construction Company LLC at $379,445.11, which came in below the estimated construction cost. The project will construct a parking lot to serve the playground, restroom facility and trails, and includes a staircase and ADA-accessible ramp for direct access to trails.
When asked by a board member how many spaces would be added, staff said the project will provide about 35 parking spaces, including ADA-accessible stalls. Funding for the project will come from SPLOST and the project is located in Post 1. Staff said engineering representatives from Crowell Engineering were present for technical questions.
