Chamber reports strong turnout at Concrete River Days; new ice cream shop opens and farmer's-market dates announced

During "Good of the City," Chamber President Gary Young summarized recent community activity and upcoming events. Young said Concrete River Days saw "great attendance," that the Chamber held a ribbon cutting for the new ice cream shop Two Scoops and a Byte, and that organizers plan to add a car show next year.
Young also listed remaining community events: four Farmer's Markets remain this season with the Aug. market set to be the largest (about 25 vendors), a city-wide yard sale is planned for Sept. 20, and the Aug. 21 Farmer's Market will host a Drug Take Back Day from 4:00–7:00 p.m. He said Chamber Executive Director Rachel Shad has been invited to the Executive State Chamber of Commerce Conference.
