Carr said the auditor’s office reclassified the line a few years ago and that the department now records third‑party transcripts under professional services. When asked whether a separate transcription line will remain, she said the previous ‘‘transcripts’’ line was retired and the expense now falls under professional services.
Council members held a roll call and approved the transfer. Carr said the transfer will cover current needs and give a small cushion while the office assesses the remainder of the year’s expenses.
