Chamber hires mapping contractor; city schedules Halloween and Winter Wonderland events

Councilor Barb Hilty provided updates from Community Relations and the Chamber of Commerce. She said the Chamber is hiring a contractor to develop an electronic map that will list Rogue River businesses and make it easier for residents and visitors to find services.
Hilty told the council the downtown Trick-or-Treat event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 31 at 3:00 p.m., and that Winter Wonderland decorations and a Christmas light contest are planned with setup beginning Nov. 22 and an event date of Dec. 6. She said outreach is underway through social media and printed flyers.
Councilor Barb Gregory reported she was unable to attend the community center meeting and there was no finance or director’s report available.
