Angel Fire police report: June calls roughly steady, two officer vacancies filled

Police Chief Jerry Hogren told the council the department’s June activity was "running pretty much on track," with 161 total calls and 78 incident reports (an increase of eight over the prior period). Chief Hogren also reported two warrants, three arrests, two crash reports (down from four in June 2025), 21 traffic citations and court collections of $1,147 for June.
Chief Hogren said the department has filled both police officer vacancies and expects the new hires to start in August. He also mentioned the 'Balloons over Angel Fire' event produced very few problems: "That was a very large weekend with very minimal problems," he said, and invited questions from the council.
