Angel Fire council adopts updated comprehensive plan with formatting revisions

The Village of Angel Fire council on Tuesday approved Resolution 2026-59, adopting an updated comprehensive plan that reflects committee input and recent projects in town. Planning presenter Kirk Strickland told the council the draft was posted July 6 and recommended for adoption by the planning commission, noting "there's a lot that's in this that didn't exist in 2008," including new attention to resort relations, parks and workforce housing.

Strickland said commissioners asked only formatting and syntax changes in places such as the solid waste chapter and the executive-summary matrix; the council approved the resolution "subject to revisions of format updates," per the motion. Council members voted by roll call to adopt the plan and directed staff to deliver bound copies once formatting is complete; the motion passed unanimously.
