The board voted to adopt Resolution 10:24/25 certifying to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors the proceedings for the Nov. 5, 2024 general obligation bond election. Dr. Wilds said staff recommended adopting the resolution and that the county's processing typically results in a billing to the district for election costs (staff estimated about $60,000). "Staff recommend you adopt this resolution," Dr. Wilds said during the presentation.
The board also approved Resolution 12:24/25 to establish a citizens oversight committee for Measure HB, allowing some members from the prior measure to continue and authorizing a public recruitment process for new members. Staff explained the oversight committee will meet regularly to review bond expenditures and that bylaws were being restated to permit a smooth transition of membership. The motions for both resolutions passed with unanimous "Aye" votes.
