City schedules July open house as ambassadors and staff gather resident feedback

Planner Cameron Colvin described recent and upcoming engagement efforts for the Downtown Subarea Plan: two walking tours with about 35 participants, outreach at community events, ambassador network surveys, and upcoming council walking tours. "We had about 35 participants on that walk," Colvin said, and staff will include a summary of engagement activities in the draft plan scheduled for early July.
Colvin said the city will host an open house at Bothell City Hall on July 22 to gather further public input and will return to the commission and council in the fall for final study sessions before adoption. Commissioners suggested additional neighborhood-based study sessions (partnering with the Chamber or local libraries) to broaden participation and to bring Public Works into discussions about multimodal connectivity.
