County staff presented a resolution to appropriate revenue and expense for the FY2026 Wind Energy Fund. Julie described the accounting: the committee is being asked to record $153,205.28 in revenue and $100,000 in expense, including $53,000 in rolled-over revenue from prior encumbrances and a newly deposited $100,000 from a negotiated road-use agreement intended to cover third-party expenses going forward. "Back in March 2025, the county board approved a reimbursement agreement...we spent $66,794.72 back in '25," Julie said, and added that $27,078 of the rollover appropriation has been spent and reimbursement has been requested.
The committee asked no substantive questions and approved the resolution by voice vote. Staff said expenses will be recorded as incurred and matched to the revenue entries already received from the road-use agreement.
