Select Board member Tom McGurty moved to accept the resignation of Recreation Director Samantha Singelton; Daniel Norwood seconded the motion and it carried with all members in favor. The board then reviewed the job posting for the vacant position and asked that the requirement for references be removed from the listing.
Town Administrator Jennifer Roux thanked Jon and Hope Denekamp for stepping in to run the upcoming soccer season without compensation and noted the board’s appreciation for volunteers. The board discussed the interim coverage of recreation duties and the revised job posting will be used to recruit a new director.
No appointment to replace the director was made at the meeting; the board handled interim program coverage through volunteers and will advertise the revised posting to fill the position.
