On its second reading the council adopted Ordinance 2839, "an ordinance of the city of Enumclaw relating to the use and operation of electric motorcycles," which adds a new chapter to city code addressing electric motorcycles. The city clerk read the ordinance by title, and Police Commander Tony Ryan offered the staff report, noting no changes to the recommendation since the committee review. The committee reported no objections beyond a request that training be publicized.
Council moved, seconded and approved the ordinance by voice vote. The ordinance includes provisions for operation and severability and establishes an effective date in the text read by the clerk. Council discussion was limited; no amendments were proposed at the meeting.
