Superintendent Dr. Wilds described the next steps: after board approval, the district and SBPC leadership will coordinate to set timelines, bring volunteers and partners together and define maintenance and educational activities tied to the restoration project. The board approved the LOU by motion (moved by Maggie; seconded by Kathy) with a unanimous voice vote.
Board members expressed appreciation for Suzanne Evans' long commitment and welcomed broader coalition support to sustain native plantings and curricular opportunities tied to the project. Staff said SBPC leadership would touch base with district administrators to coordinate volunteer activities and potential classroom integration.
