During the visitor remarks portion of the meeting, Ezekiel Barrientos told the Navasota City Council that his two properties at 902 and 908 Durden experience sewer backups after heavy rain, with wastewater coming back into the houses when toilets are flushed.
"My name is Ezekiel Barrientos. I have a place in, 902 Durden and 908 Durden... In the past, we've been having problems with, when we flush the commode, when we get a hot rain, instead of the water going down it comes to the house," Barrientos said. The mayor and staff directed Barrientos to provide contact information to the city manager so staff can investigate and follow up.
