The Board of Works voted to approve a resolution to declare multiple older ambulances surplus as the department receives replacements. Staff described specific units being retired — including a 2015 Chevy (G, 4,500 diesel), a 2016 Ford F450 chassis, and a 2017 Braun Chief Excel — and said the stretcher would be sold with the apparatus.
A motion to approve the resolution was made after legal clarified the resolution number and the board discussed preparing a clean version for signature. One board member summed up the intended outcome: "...to make our ambulances surplus as the new ones come in for replacement." The resolution was approved as amended and staff will finalize the paperwork for the board to sign.
