City expands Safe Routes to School design work, awards $114,221.97 change order

Renata and staff described using approximately $344,000 of remaining ODOT funds to extend the project's scope, including ADA curb-ramp upgrades, additional lighting, signage and the potential installation of a rectangular rapid-flashing beacon (RRFB). The motion awarded design and bid-package work to HHPR (Harper Huth Peterson & Rosales) in the amount of $114,221.97 and authorized the city manager to sign the contract. Staff said the additional work fits within the original ODOT award and will position the city to pursue future construction funding.
