"This was kind of an overflow from last year — one floor went down and then another floor went down," Davis said, explaining that the county started necessary repairs to prevent operational failures.
Council members discussed whether competitive procurement had been solicited for each item; Davis said some repairs were contractually recurring (annual inspections) and others were urgent and had limited bids. The council approved the appropriations, with one member voting no, and members asked staff to document solicitations and bid processes for transparency on larger future projects.
