Engineering Manager Gus Albarran asked the Board to award a professional-services agreement to TKE Engineering for $255,575 to design a new 1-million-gallon effluent supplemental storage tank at the Grass Valley Wastewater Treatment Plant. Albarran said TKE is familiar with the plant and prior work, and that additional storage is needed for operational flexibility during summer months and to reduce discharge risk during wet weather.
The Board approved the award and authorized the General Manager to execute the agreement and approve change orders not to exceed 15% of the contract amount. The roll call in the minutes records a single no vote from Director Eric Chappell; the other members voted in favor. Funding will come from Wastewater Capital Improvement Fund 210 in FY 2026-27.
