Krista Gannon reported that the pool was on track for a soft opening on June 6 and that the current lifeguard complement is sufficient to open the facility, though the city would like to hire a couple more guards to meet desired staffing levels. "The pool was on track for opening with a soft opening on June 6 and that there were enough guards to open the facility, but that the city would like to have a couple more to meet the desired staffing level," Gannon said.
The committee did not take formal action but noted the staffing plan; staff will continue recruitment to meet desired levels before the soft opening. The pool opening date and any additional staffing announcements will be communicated through Parks & Recreation channels.
